Janitor/Maintenance Worker



Employment Type: Full-Time
Summary:
The Janitor/Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building by performing various and regular cleaning duties. The Janitor/Maintenance also supports vendor relations and paperwork associated with the position. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Reliable transportation is necessary as there may be local business travel required of this position. This position is 7am-5pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday and 9am-5pm Tuesday, Thursday for a total of 43.5 hours per week.
Duties:
Clean / Supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc. Trash - Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transports to disposal area Carry out cleansing task and special projects. Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities. Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs. Make adjustments and minor repairs. Stock and maintain supply rooms. Cooperate with the rest of the staff. Follow all health and safety regulations. Other duties as assigned or required.
Skills:
Qualified candidates will be someone who is proud of his/her ability to keep building and property looking and running smooth. Must be able to complete paperwork associated with vendors and utilize a computer.
Qualifications:
HS Diploma or GED. At least three (3) years experience in building and cleaning maintenance desirable. Various building and property maintenance projects. Experience working with vendors. Experience with ordering supplies. Must be able to shovel snow such as building sidewalks and entrances. Experience operating machinery. Experience with landscaping. Must have previous facilities experience. NYS Motor Vehicle Operator's license and reliable transportation.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Experience: 2-5 years
