Recently the CDR community learned of the death of Marilyn Golden. Bruce Darling and the chair of our Board of Directors, Debbie Bonomo, shared these words about her life and love for greater disability justice.
“She inspired us as young transportation activists with her matter-of-fact brilliance. Aside from brilliant, she was fierce… she was Xenia-Warrior-Princess fierce. Her influence directly resulted in the local transportation advocacy that ultimately led to the establishment of CDR. She continued her amazing contributions to the Disability Community in her work with Diane Coleman and Not Dead Yet by opposing assisted suicide. We honor her legacy by continuing the work.
At this point, we do not have information about funeral arrangements, but if we receive any information and permission to share it, we will do so.”
