As a member of the New York Association on Independent Living, and Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Association of NYS, the Center for Disability Rights is proud to join 26 other disability rights advocacy organizations from across the state to demand Governor Cuomo respond to our letter about COVID19 policies for people with disabilities living in congregate settings.

Disabled New Yorkers, and their attendants, deserve to stay safe during a pandemic just like everyone else but most can’t because they don’t have the same resources as everyone else. It is Governor Cuomo’s responsibility to ensure Disabled New Yorkers’ safety during this crisis and we are asking him to make the needs of Disabled New Yorkers his highest priority now and moving forward.
