Submission project

As the 21st anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act is upon us this July, many may reflect on what this monumental legislation means and how it affects us all—for people with and without disabilities. What have you noticed since the signing? What has changed? What hasn’t? So we pose this question.

We want to know :

What does the ADA mean to you ?

Tell us! Submit written responses below. For other forms—paintings, drawings, photographs, really, the sky’s the limit—please send via mail to the Center for Disability Rights, 497 State Street, Rochester, NY 14608, Attention: Jenny Phillips.

All responses must be submitted by 5 pm, Friday, July 1, 2011.

Please limit written responses to 250 words.

Chosen submissions will be featured and celebrated at the ADA Gala, July 15.
