Center for Disability Rights Hosts Mayoral Candidate Forum on Disability Issues

Rochester, NY – The Center for Disability Rights and Regional Center for Independent Living are continuing their tradition of informing voters with disabilities in the Rochester area by holding a Mayoral Candidate Forum on Disability Issues on Thursday, March 17th from 6:30 – 8:00 PM. The forum will take place at the Edgerton Recreation Center, Stardust Ballroom at 41 Backus Street.

Candidates Bill Johnson, Ann Lewis, Tom Richards and Alex White have all confirmed their attendance for the event. Candidates will be given equal time to introduce themselves and respond to questions from the audience pertaining to matters of importance to voters with disabilities in the City of Rochester.

Additionally, all candidates have been sent questionnaires on disability issues. Those who respond will have their answers posted on the CDR and RCIL websites and their answers will also be made available at the Forum. Video of the candidates’ responses will also be posted online.
