Dozens camp out in front of county office building
WHEC.com, July 27, 2010
Dozens of people are still camped out in front of the county office building on West Main Street this morning. They have been there all night, demanding a meeting with County Executive Maggie Brooks.
They are protesting a decision made last week by Maggie Brooks to cut ties with the Center for Disability Rights.
CDR had a multi-million dollar contract with the county. It allowed disabled or chronically ill patients to hire their own home health aids through CDR.
The county says there were complaints and claims of neglect.
