A state Supreme Court justice has made a ruling in the battle between Monroe County and the Center for Disability Rights.

Judge John Ark has ruled that the contract between the county and CDR will end on November 8. That means people in Monroe County who receive home health care from CDR will have to find a new provider by November 8, when the contract expires.

CDR and a number of their clients protested outside the Monroe County office building after officials decided to end its multi-million dollar contract. The county claims it discovered patients were not being properly cared for. CDR has denied that claim.
