Visual Design and Social Media Coordinator



Employment Type: Full-Time
Summary:
This position develops and implements social media strategies to support the company mission and vision. This position is also responsible for the development and maintenance of online content that attracts attention, generates interest, and can be shared with local networks. Lastly, this position develops and produces graphic are and visual materials for promotions, informative and instructional materials for a variety of marketing outlets.
Duties:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONDuty
Maintain and continue to strengthen the company's internet presence by providing updates and information on social media platforms, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter
Establish a monthly chat session on Twitter for the disability community to engage in relevant topics and facilitate discussions
Support program staff marketing though the development of marketing materials, such as creating flyers, brochures, etc.
Design flyers, brochures, pamphlets, and other various marketing materials as needed by different programs and departments
Assist with basic maintenance and updating of the company's website
Update company logos and logos of other organizations or services
Create visual marketing campaigns to bring attention to the company's branding and spread awareness of people with disabilities to the community
Develop a story bank with stories of people in the community and tell the story through medias
Participate in the Development committee and offer ideas to promote growth
Produce “Talk Show: on YouTube to provide relevant information to the community on disability related topics
Leverage LinkedIn platform and work with Human Resources to help promote position openings with the company
Contribute marketing efforts to ADA events, such designing promotion materials, assisting with décor, and photographing the event
Act as in-house photographer for events, workshops, and conferences to promote the company's presence
Assist with the Disability Employment Connection program by joining Listservs and sharing information about the program within this group and on social media outlets.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment with moderate to light noise. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Qualifications:
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Visual Design or related field

Experience Requirements
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a visual design role and a minimum of 1 year experience in a social media role or related experience

Skills and Competencies Requirements
Ability to manage multiple project simultaneously
Strong written and verbal skills a must
Ability to work independently as well as on a team
