CDPAS Attendants are eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine NOW!

CDR has provided all CDPAS attendants with a letter that verifies they are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine right away.  To prove they are eligible, they may be required to produce:

1) the verification letter

2) your most recent pay stub

3) a photo ID.

Different sites are handling this differently, so it is best to be prepared.

To find out where to get the vaccine, attendants can use one of these three approaches.

1. ONLINE PRE-SCREENING AND SCHEDULING

To use a state pre-screening tool, go to: www.cdrnys.org/vacinfo

The CDR link will send you to a state website.

MORE INFORMATION

Information from the state is changing.  We are having discussions with county health officials about setting up opportunities for our attendants to get vaccinated.  So everyone has the most up-to-date information, we have set up this webpage.  We will keep this updated.

AFTER ATTENDANTS GET THE FIRST DOSE OF VACCINE

The vaccine provider will arrange for the attendants to get a second dose.  They need to get it to be protected.  Even after they get the vaccine, they will still need to wear face masks, wash your hands frequently, practice social distancing, and take other safety steps to help everyone – including the disabled person they assist – stay safe!
