#CDRchat

The Twitter Chat on Disability & Parenting was incredibly educational and invaluable. Parenting insights and supportive tips were shared by our #CDRchat co-hosts: Carrie Ann Lucas, founder and executive director of Disabled Parents Rights, Julie Farrar, policy fellow of Center for Disability Rights, and Morénike Giwa-Onaiwu, global community advocate and writer.

Individuals across the country joined the discussion to exchange their parenting experiences and stories about being children of parents with disabilities. The #CDRchat participants also addressed the parenting myths people have about individuals with disabilities and shared their resources for parents with disabilities.

Thank you to all who participated and joined in on our #CDRchat. If you weren’t able to join us for this chat, I hope this recap will provide you with insights into the stories of Disability & Parenting!

Join us on April 20th at 3pm for the #CDRchat on Disability & #LiveOn!
